Tips

CHOOSE & CUT:
At an elevation of 3000', come dressed for a temperature drop of approximately 10 degrees from the lowlands.  Closed shoes and boots with grip are a must!

WHOLESALE:
Consider transporting un-bundled trees in a box truck, box trailer, or flatbed trailer along with tie downs instead of renting a baler.  Many equipment rental businesses do not carry tree balers and those who do are likely to already have their balers rented out during Christmas tree season.  Box trucks, box trailers, and flatbed trailers, however, are readily accessible to rent in most towns from places like U-Haul, Penske, etc. if you do not already have your own.  It is worth noting that your retail tree customers will want to see the selection of trees in their natural state, un-bundled, before buying.  Renting or borrowing a box truck, box trailer, or flatbed trailer instead of renting a baler may be the most practical plan for transporting your cut trees to your tree lot for immediate sale.
